The Power Of Copywriting
Too often
Internet businesses chase trends
instead of focus on skills
development. The Internet will
change and move much faster than
you could ever move. Therefore,
chasing each Internet fad that
pops up could cause you to go in
circles. To avoid this vicious
cycle you need to ask yourself
this question – Am I going to
chase the ever changing
technology on the Internet or
develop core skills that will
make me money on a consistent
basis?
The correct
answer is that you should
develop core skills. What are
these core skills? First, think
of the adage that knowledge is
power. This is not quite true.
Instead, knowledge is
“potential” power. Applied
knowledge is true power. In
other words, you should leverage
your power to make money.
You need to
work on skills that you can
leverage. These skills are
different from normal skills.
Normal skills are skills such as
Graphic design. For example, a
web designer may have the skill
to create a website. This type
of skill is a “by the hour”
skill. The web designer has to
physically create new websites
all the time.
In contrast
a skill that you can leverage is
one in which you complete the
work once and are paid over and
over again or exponentially for
that initial work.
If you want
to be extremely successful in
the online business world then
you need to master copywriting.
(Or outsource your copywriting
to a skilled copy writer.)
Copywriting is a skill that can
be leveraged.
Copywriting
is salesmanship in print. When
you write a sales letter you can
use it over and over. You only
have to write the copy once. A
verbal sale, in contrast, is a
sales technique that has to be
pitched to each and every
person.
Copywriting
includes, but is not limited to
squeeze pages, sales letter,
emails, and Blogs. Copywriting
is the foundation of all the
money you make on the Internet.
Copywriting can come from
virtually anything including
teleseminars.
How do you
dominate your market? Provide
the most interesting and
relevant copywriting. You may
think that you area is
saturated, but a market is never
saturated. Only uninteresting
Internet entrepreneurs think an
area is saturated. For example,
you could send an email with a
random subject line to hook in
readers.
Unleash the
power of copywriting and
leverage the immense power it
contains.
