Self Promotion -- The Key To
Success
Giving presentations on the
speakers’ circuit can be
lucrative. However, if you want
to promote your own company then
you need a combination of
speaking venues.
One option
is to use telemarketers. Hire
someone to call potential
clients on the phone. Have them
set up a free demonstration with
the client. You can then sell
your products and services at
this free demonstration. Make
sure that you provide valuable
stand alone information as well
as selling your product and
services.
Another
option is to promote yourself to
groups in your niche that gather
regularly. Promoting to groups
can be very powerful. For
example, you can promote to
groups of Doctors, Sales People,
and Lawyers.
Yet another
option is to promote your
products and services through
Joint Ventures. Joint ventures
work extremely well especially
if you are just starting out.
You can find people to set up a
joint venture with that have
more experience than you do.
You can piggy back on their
experience to help build your
business. A joint venture
should be beneficial to both
parties involved.
Joint
ventures work well with
complementary products and
services. You can offer your
speaking services to a joint
venture. Your joint venture
partner then can offer more to
the attendees at their event.
Joint
ventures usually are a 50-50
split, but it depends. It
depends on the amount of work,
involvement, and investment of
each person. While a variety of
factors may affect the split, it
still should be beneficial for
both parties involved whether or
not they are monetary benefits.
The two
main ways to obtain a joint
venture which include the
following:
1.) Be
proactive. Jump on the Internet
and do research. Call up people
that you think would be a great
joint venture. Contact and meet
as many people as you can. You
might meet a joint venture
through several different
people.
2.) Get
involved with speakers groups
and network with people. Share
your client email lists with
people.
