Increase Sales With Face To Face
Marketing
Your
business can be highly
successful if you are a great
speaker. However, being a great
speaker is not the end all be
all of your success. You can
not rely on being a speaker
alone. You must also be a savvy
marketer. Marketing brings your
audience to you.
When
marketing you have to have a
brand. You need an image. What
feeling do you want people to
associate with you? You need to
invest time and money with a
good graphic artist that can
craft an effective identity for
you. For example, you want your
letter head, website, and any
other marketing materials to be
consistent and specific to you.
When
promoting your seminar it is
critical that you have a great
seminar. Your promotional
materials should be of high
caliber. You can use Microsoft
Publisher if you create your own
materials. Spend time and money
on the materials as they are a
reflection of you and your
services.
There are
three main marketing avenues
that you can take which include:
Face to face,
Traditional
advertising
Teleseminars
Promoting
face to face is one of the
hardest ways to promote your
business. However, it can be
the most effective. You can
promote by offering a talk or
meeting for free. It is
beneficial for you because you
can sell your products and
services during this free talk.
Find groups
that would be interested in your
services. For example, if you
want to promote yourself to
business people you can give
free talks at the Chamber of
Commerce and entrepreneur
groups. Give a talk and then
sell your seminar or pass out
contact sheets. It is well
worth the time and effort to
promote to people face to face.
If you have
the courage to promote face to
face then do it! If you don’t
have the courage to promote face
to face then practice it until
you do. Promoting face to face
can be very powerful so it is in
your best interests to obtain
this skill.
How do you
find the different groups you
can talk to? In Google, type in
your products and/or services
and you will find a bevy of
local groups that would benefit
from your services. For
example, if you want to find
real estate investors in your
area you can locate real estate
investment groups through a
search on Google. You can also
promote across the World Wide
Web through web video and
audio.
Contact
each group and offer to provide
a talk for free. Most potential
venues will be happy to have you
come speak at no cost. They
understand that you will sell
your products, but find this
acceptable because they are
receiving valuable stand alone
information in return.
Tip: If
you give a free talk then make
sure to promote on the spot.
Also promote through follow up.
Tip: You
must have a referral strategy.
Don’t just leave after you have
given the talk. An effective
tool is to create a “Referral
Sheet”. Entice people to fill
out this referral sheet by
giving them something for free.
For example, offer a free
pamphlet, eBook, or some kind of
material that will keep you in
the attendee’s mind after the
talk.
Personal
referrals are extremely
powerful!
