Do you want to earn the top spot on the Google search engine?  You need to understand the ins and outs of search engine optimization in order to accomplish this task.  There are several ways to increase your placement in the Google search engine.

Let’s say your keyword phrase is “Rent to Own”.  How can you push this keyword phrase to the top spot on Google?  First, you need to have quality websites link to you.  Quality websites have a high page rank.  You need to take it one step further then just linking up with a quality website.  You need to optimize your keyword or keyword phrase on these quality websites.

For example, let’s say you have already established links with other “Rent to Own” websites.  An Internet visitor searches the keyword phrase of “Rent to Own” in the Google Search Engine.  A list of “Rent to Own” websites will pop up in the Google Search results.  Let’s say that you created links with these websites.  Therefore, all of these websites are pointing towards your website.

The key to optimizing your website is not only having an incoming link from these websites, but to also have your keyword phrase on these quality websites.  The secret is to turn that keyword phrase into a hyperlink.  This encourages an Internet visitor to click on that keyword phrase.  Once they click on that keyword phrase, they will be directed to your website.  It is a win-win situation for you.

You also want to put your keyword or keyword phrase in the Title tag.  The Google search engine is impressed when you have your keyword phrase not only on your website, but on your Title tag as well.  Google will view you as the real deal and will up your page rank.  Therefore, adding your keyword phrase in your Title tag will skyrocket your position in the Google search engine results.

What if you have links pointing at you from low page rank websites?  Will this hurt your search engine optimization?  No, a low page rank will not hurt your website page rank.  Low page ranks just won’t add any strength to your placement in Google’s search engine results.
